Title : In vitro antibacterial, antioxidant activities and in silico molecular docking of potential anti HSV-1 protein target of Phytol from Premna serratifolia
Abstract :

The aim of the present study is to investigate the in vitro potency and in silico assessment of Phytol from Premna serratifolia for Herpes Simplex virus (HSV). The P. serratifolia decoction was prepared, characterized, and identified the in vitro screening and in silico docking of phytol against the HSV virus. The phytochemical showed the presence of various functional groups. The decoction exhibited maximum zone of inhibition at the highest concentration against the E. faecalis and 70% antiviral inhibition against the HSV-1 and 2. The phytol binding to HSV-5VYL protein with 32 aminoacids on the A-chain pocket. The results revelaed that P. serratifolia decoction exhibits foretold medicinal properties and provides a better understanding for the medical practioners and be as a future antiviral drug.
